We partner with local organisations in Uganda who are in direct contact with communities where children have limited access to education. Since even basic education in Uganda is expensive, we sponsor children who otherwise would not be able to go to school.

Our projects are jointly designed with our local partners to ensure they provide the children who are part of the programme with long-term access to education and better opportunities.

Our projects are led by volunteers from Rise Uganda who work in conjunction with local partner associations. We strongly believe our partners are the ones that know best where the most pressing needs are.

At Rise Uganda, we focus on having a consistent and long-term impact on the life of children by enabling them to go to school.

We aim to:

• Improve access to basic education in Uganda.
• Help Ugandan families better understand the importance sending their children to school.
• Raise awareness in Switzerland about the issues within the Ugandan education system that prevent children from accessing education.

We work with our local partners to coordinate, implement and fund projects.

We also raise awareness about the challenges of Uganda’s education system. While we cannot solve these structural issues, we can enable children to attend school.

This is possible thanks to our partnerships with donors and local institutions.
