Book Drive Foundation
Partner since 2020
The Book Drive Foundation is Rise Uganda's largest partner.This women-led, apolitical, non-profit and Ugandan-based organization advocates for the enhancement of literacy levels in Africa. Their community work started in 2016 on the premise that there exists a need for the African education system and social-cultural setup to embrace and enhance literacy levels as a tool for sustainable development.
Their education projects are community-based, with the belief that a community that ‘reads’ is informed, exposed, and equipped with the knowledge to ‘write’ a better story for itself. Their emphasis is placed on infants, whose brains develop fastest, are highly impressionable and most amenable to change, the vision of creating a future with solutions to all Uganda’s social-economic problems is possible.
As of the end of 2022, Rise Uganda supported the education of 36 primary school students and 14 high school students through Book Drive Foundation.
Kaleke Kasome

Kaleke Kasome is a not-for-profit organization that strives to empower communities through strengthening mechanisms of ending sexual and gender-based violence against children and promoting their rights.
“Kaleke Kasome” is a Luganda expression that can be directly translated as “Let the child stay in school”. Founded in 2014, the Kaleke Kasome Foundation was built on the same pillar as a commitment to advocate for the rights of children through sensitization of parents, guardians and communities.
Their main focus is on child safety and protection - advocating against violence against girls. One of the main focus areas of their projects is education attainment by focusing on groups that cannot afford school fees, which are mainly vulnerable children in rural communities. Kaleke Kasome also runs a community center to support the youth with after-school programs, a community library or a computer literacy program.
As of early 2023, Rise Uganda supported the education of 2 high school students and 3 university students through its partenrship with Kaleke Kasome.
Tennis for all
Partner since 2021
Through the belief that sport and education are fundamental parts of any child’s development, Tennis for All carries out a blend education, youth empowerement and sports development programs.
At the Bboza community school, the Tennis For All Education program provides educational opportunities that encourage children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth while inspiring a lifelong commitment to learning.
The school was fully opened up in 2022, and today it provides education to 25 children between the ages of 3 to 6 years whose parents cannot afford to send their children to preschool. 17 of these were sponsored by Rise Uganda.
Tennis for All offers regular free tennis training, welcoming hundreds of children from disadvantaged communities. The program has created a safe environment for these children to come and play tennis as well as providing access to safe water, food, sanitation and changing facilities. The tennis training program has provided a vehicle for the children to learn important lessons related to fair play and equality where everyone plays on equal ground without any discrimination as a way of giving the underprivileged a chance to participate.
